Israel Preparing for Possible Strike on Iran Nuclear Sites, Says US Intelligence

Israel is preparing for a possible military strike on Iran’s nuclear sites, according to new US intelligence. Recent reports based on intercepted communications and monitoring of Israeli military movements show that the chances of an attack have grown in recent months. No final decision has been made, but the possibility is increasing. This comes just days after US President Donald Trump completed a diplomatic trip to three countries in the Middle East.

US officials say Israel has been moving aerial weapons and carrying out targeted air drills. These actions could mean Israel is preparing for military action or trying to pressure Iran diplomatically. The US assessment says Israel cannot fully stop Iran’s nuclear program without help from the United States. Despite its strong military, Israel would need American support for a successful strike.

President Trump has both threatened military action and pursued diplomacy with Iran. In March, the US sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader setting a 60-day deadline for a nuclear agreement. That deadline has now passed without a deal. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sees the proposed deal as insufficient but also faces pressure not to directly oppose Washington.

US officials believe Iran is in its weakest military position in decades after Israeli strikes last October damaged missile production and air defense sites. Israel views this as a chance to act before Iran regains strength. The possibility of a strike grows as diplomatic talks stall.
