Sheikh Salem Al Qasimi Attends Sharjah Education Academy’s Third Graduation Ceremony

Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s Office, attended the third graduation ceremony of the Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) on Sunday. The event took place at University City Hall in Sharjah. The ceremony started with the UAE national anthem, followed by a speech from Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of the Academy. She expressed gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, for his ongoing support since the Academy’s founding. She also thanked Sheikh Salem for honoring the graduates and congratulated them and their families. Dr Al Hashimi praised Sharjah’s progress in education and said the graduates are part of a larger vision for excellence in the field.

The Academy awarded certificates to 313 graduates from various academic programs. These included teachers, school leaders, and early childhood education specialists. Among the graduates, 145 completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Education, 74 finished the Master of Education in Educational Leadership, 28 earned the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership, and 66 received the Certificate in Early Childhood Education. Additionally, 28 graduates took part in the “I Am Proud to Be a Teacher” program. Dr Al Hashimi highlighted the important role graduates will play in promoting quality education and urged them to act with dedication and passion.

Pauline Taylor-Guy, Chancellor of the Sharjah Education Academy, congratulated the graduates and spoke about the Academy’s role in preparing educators. She described the graduates as future leaders who have shown strong commitment. The Academy’s vision focuses on developing professional teachers through innovative academic and research-based programs. It has formed strategic partnerships worldwide and provided education that empowers teachers to lead classrooms and institutions successfully.

Maryam Al Balushi, a graduate from the Master of Education in Educational Leadership program, spoke on behalf of the graduates. She expressed joy for completing their studies and said the Academy equipped them with knowledge and skills to contribute positively to education. She said teaching is a mission that involves planting hope and empowering future generations. The graduates promised to uphold this mission and serve as ambassadors for quality education guided by Sharjah’s leadership.

Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi presented certificates to the graduates and congratulated them personally. He also recognized GEMS Millennium School Sharjah for its role in hosting and training Academy students during the academic year. This was part of the “Guidance School” initiative launched by SEA in 2023. At the ceremony’s close, the graduates recited the Teacher’s Oath, pledging to be sincere and dedicated educators who protect and inspire their students while fostering love for the homeland.

This graduation marks a significant milestone in Sharjah’s continuous efforts to develop education. With strong leadership support and advanced training programs, Sharjah is building a strong foundation for future generations of educators and learners.
