Radio DJ Germaine Tan Engaged to Zouk CEO Andrew Li

Local radio DJ Germaine Tan announced her engagement to Andrew Li, the chief executive of Singapore’s lifestyle and hospitality company Zouk Group. The news was shared on social media on June 1, with Tan tagging Li in her post. The couple’s romantic proposal took place on a private sandbank in the Maldives during sunset.

Germaine Tan, who works at Mediacorp’s English-language radio station 987 and is also a lifestyle influencer and host, revealed that Andrew had been planning the proposal for some time. The moment was set against the backdrop of the evening sun lowering over the ocean, creating a perfect setting. Andrew expressed his commitment to spending the rest of his life with Tan.

The couple met in 2022 at a local cocktail bar named Here Kitty Kitty and have been together for over two years. Tan mentioned that Andrew’s care for her family and friends deepened her love for him. She added that she could not imagine life without his support.

The engagement was met with congratulations from celebrity friends, including Yes 933 DJ Hazelle Teo, actor Ben Yeo, actress Tay Ying, and celebrity chef Wu Sihan. Andrew Li joined Zouk Group as chairman in 2015 and became chief executive in 2016. Under his leadership, the popular ZoukOut electronic dance music festival returned in 2022 after a three-year break. The festival is known for its dusk-to-dawn music events and is a key highlight in Singapore’s nightlife.
