Hankook Tire Official Title Sponsor of Al-Ittihad Club

Hankook Tire & Technology, a global leader in tire manufacturing, has signed a three-season title sponsorship deal with Saudi Arabian football club Al-Ittihad. The partnership begins with the 2024/2025 season. Founded in 1927, Al-Ittihad is one of the most successful football clubs in Saudi Arabia. The team recently secured its 10th Saudi Pro League title before the end of the season and won back-to-back AFC Champions League titles, showing strong performance both domestically and internationally.

Through this sponsorship, Hankook Tire aims to strengthen its global sports marketing efforts. The company plans to leverage the high profile of Al-Ittihad and its world-renowned players such as Karim Benzema and Moussa Diaby to enhance its status as a premium brand worldwide. Hankook’s logo will be displayed on in-stadium LED signage, media interview backdrops, and the club’s official team apparel during the sponsorship period. The company will also run marketing campaigns, including online and offline ticket giveaways, to boost brand awareness and sales in Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East.

Hankook Tire has been expanding its presence in emerging markets like Saudi Arabia. In August 2023, it partnered with its official Saudi distributor, Bin Shihon Group, to launch the iON product line. This line is the world’s first full range of tires dedicated exclusively to electric vehicles. The iON evo and iON evo SUV models have gained strong recognition for their technological innovation. This success has helped Hankook rapidly strengthen its position in the electric vehicle tire market in the region.

Hankook Tire’s sponsorship with Al-Ittihad adds to its existing sports partnerships. The company is also an official partner of major football events such as the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League. It works with German club Borussia Dortmund and supports the prestigious Ballon d’Or awards. This new sponsorship deal marks a significant step in Hankook’s efforts to grow its premium brand image and presence in Saudi Arabia and global markets.
