Visit Qatar and Flynas Sign MoU to Boost Travel between Qatar and Saudi Arabia

Visit Qatar, the promotional arm of Qatar Tourism, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi airline Flynas to strengthen travel between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The agreement was formalized during the Arabian Travel Market 2025, held in Dubai, marking a significant step in enhancing tourism and connectivity in the region.

Strengthening Qatar-Saudi Arabia Travel Ties

The MoU was signed by key representatives from both organizations. Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar, and senior officials from the Qatar Tourism team attended the ceremony. On the Flynas side, Chief Commercial Officer Stefan Magiera and Vice President of Sales Abdulelah Al Eidi were present to represent the airline.

This partnership aims to facilitate smoother travel between the two neighboring countries, particularly during peak periods such as major events and tournaments. By increasing flight availability, the collaboration seeks to meet growing demand and make travel between Qatar and Saudi Arabia more convenient for both leisure and business travelers.

Exploring Additional Flight Opportunities

One of the core objectives of the MoU is to explore the potential for more flights between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. As the countries host a number of major international events, including sporting tournaments and business conferences, both parties recognize the importance of ensuring efficient travel for visitors.

The joint effort will also focus on optimizing flight schedules and capacity during high-demand periods, ensuring travelers have access to flexible and convenient travel options.

Joint Marketing Campaigns to Promote Qatar as a Key Destination

In addition to expanding flight services, the MoU includes a commitment to jointly promote Qatar as a prime tourist destination. Flynas and Visit Qatar will launch collaborative marketing campaigns targeting Saudi travelers. These campaigns will highlight Qatar’s diverse attractions, including cultural events, luxury accommodations, and world-class dining, as well as Qatar’s unique position as a hub for international tourism.

Qatar has increasingly become a top destination for Saudi travelers, with its rich cultural heritage, modern infrastructure, and growing international events calendar. With the support of Flynas, the two parties aim to attract even more visitors from the Saudi market, further boosting the country’s tourism sector.

A Commitment to Seamless Travel and Enhanced Tourism

The partnership between Visit Qatar and Flynas underscores a shared commitment to improving the travel experience for tourists and residents alike. By enhancing connectivity and fostering greater tourism collaboration, both organizations aim to further integrate the tourism sectors of Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

The joint initiative will not only benefit travelers but also support the broader tourism ecosystem, contributing to economic growth in both countries. As the region continues to develop as a global tourism hub, this collaboration is expected to play a key role in strengthening ties between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

A Step Towards Long-Term Cooperation

This MoU is a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to improve regional travel and tourism. It builds upon Qatar’s vision to become a leading tourism destination in the Middle East and Flynas’s commitment to expanding its regional network. By working together, both parties hope to foster long-term cooperation that benefits travelers, businesses, and the tourism industries of both countries.

As the partnership moves forward, further details about the flight schedule and marketing campaigns will be announced in the coming months. For now, travelers can look forward to more options for traveling between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, particularly during major events and festivals.
